Choosing the right college is about more than earning a degree. Many students look for an environment that combines classroom learning with practical experience, industry exposure, and career support to prepare them for future opportunities.
In this testimonial, Iffa Naz, a School of Management student at PW IOI, shares how hands-on projects, faculty mentorship, collaborative learning, and placement guidance helped shape her learning experience and contributed to securing a placement after her second semester.
When talking about her experience, Iffa says that learning at PW IOI was not limited to classroom teaching. Along with regular academics, students were involved in practical activities and projects that helped them understand concepts in a better way.
She also mentions that faculty members guided students throughout the journey by sharing their experiences, supporting them during projects, and encouraging them to participate in different learning activities. According to her, this environment helped her become more confident than when she first joined the college.
One of the biggest experiences Iffa talks about is the practical learning approach followed during the course.
For example, while studying retail, students visited places like Decathlon and shopping malls to observe retail operations and conduct market research. Similarly, while learning economics, they discussed how different concepts are connected with real-world situations instead of stopping at textbook definitions.
She also shared a business project where students had to run a business for one and a half months. At the end of the project, they presented how they managed the business, generated revenue, and handled different business activities.
Her group worked on protein-rich meals, where they interacted with customers, coordinated with vendors, and managed different parts of the business process.
Iffa shared that she received a placement opportunity through the placement team. Although the job description mentioned MBA qualifications, she still applied because she wanted to gain interview experience.
During the interview, many questions were based on the projects she had completed during college. Since she had worked on several practical assignments, she was able to discuss them confidently. She also mentioned that while preparing her resume, she had to shortlist only a few projects because there were many project experiences to choose from.
“It's not just classroom learning; you get a lot of practical learning there. Thats why just after just the second semester, Iffa got placed in K12 Techno Services“
According to her, these practical experiences and project work helped her present herself better during the interview, which eventually led to her placement after the second semester.
Apart from classroom learning, Iffa Naaz appreciated the support she received from faculty members, seniors, and classmates. She explained that students regularly worked together on group projects, presentations, and discussions, creating opportunities to learn from each other
“In PW IOI, there is nothing like just classroom learning. It is all about holistic development, and the teachers support you at every step, even during the placement process”
She also shared that the curriculum introduced students to different management areas such as Marketing, Human Resources, Market Research, and Consumer Behaviour. This helped her identify her interest in marketing, and she later completed her internship in the same field.
Based on her experience, Iffa believes that PW IOI provided learning opportunities beyond academics, helping her develop practical skills, confidence, and industry exposure throughout her journey.
